Legio Mortis for a fellow player.
These Chaos Titans are part of a huge Iron Warriors army (see HERE) I’m painting for a fellow gamer. The centrepiece of this Legion is an Abominatus (a converted Imperator Titan).
Lots of fun to paint!
Here’s another bit of fun. How often am I going to be able to get 2 Chaos Emperor Class Titans together?
There were also some Feral Scout Titans, Ravagers and BaneLords.
The owner converted the Titans and they look amazing. It was easy to get motivated to paint them as I was very inspired by his creativity. He’ll be adding banners and other details later.
How I painted these Titans.
- Firstly, the titan is painted Chaos Black.
- All metallic areas are then painted using Chainmail.
- The 3rd phase is basically Red Gore on some of the panels.
- Next I used Brazen Brass and Shining Gold on all the weapons and trim.
- Fifth was the wash using Jo Sonja’s Carbon Black to bring out the detail.
- I’ve used Vellejo Old Gold to highlight the brass, metallic areas.
- The eyes were basecoated using Skull White and then finished off using Tamiya acrylic Clear Green. The bright blue areas on the plasma blast guns (and the glowing effects) were painted in a similar way to the eyes but using Tamiya acrylic Clear Blue. A final spray using Wattyl Matt Estapol Furniture varnish and it’s finished.
